Fossil fuels started to lose ground against renewable energy sources like sunbeams and wind power. The megacity swapped out its old, rickety trapeze with a sturdy rope, like a deft acrobat switching out gears. Sulphur dioxide, the once-dreaded bully, has been subdued by 2020, with emissions falling by an incredible 45%. The PM2. 5 particles, the little killers, witnessed a 35% decrease in their numbers. Even the forerunner of climate change, CO2, which is an unseen force, shrank by 28%, with the energy sector experiencing an especially noteworthy 35% reduction.
