Abstract

FinTech has increasingly transformed entrepreneurship in emerging economies by enabling technology-driven financial access, decision making, and resource management. However, possessing FinTech capabilities does not necessarily guarantee entrepreneurial success, particularly when entrepreneurs must rapidly respond to changing financial and market conditions. This study examines how FinTech Capability influences Entrepreneurial Success by investigating Entrepreneurial Financial Agility as a mediating mechanism and Digital Market Intelligence as a moderating capability. Using a quantitative, cross-sectional design, data were collected from 380 entrepreneurs and business respondents in Pakistan. The proposed relationships were examined using PROCESS-based moderated mediation analysis. The findings support all six hypotheses. FinTech Capability positively influences Entrepreneurial Success and Entrepreneurial Financial Agility, while Entrepreneurial Financial Agility positively contributes to Entrepreneurial Success and significantly mediates the FinTech Capability–Entrepreneurial Success relationship. Digital Market Intelligence significantly strengthens the relationship between FinTech Capability and Entrepreneurial Financial Agility and also strengthens the indirect effect of FinTech Capability on Entrepreneurial Success through Entrepreneurial Financial Agility. The study extends the dynamic capability perspective by integrating technological, financial, and market-oriented capabilities and provides practical guidance for Pakistani entrepreneurs seeking to convert FinTech resources into sustainable entrepreneurial outcomes.
