Artificial intelligence and financial technology are increasingly intertwined with the digital platforms through which entrepreneurs identify opportunities, obtain finance, reach customers, and scale ventures. This comparative study develops an integrated view of the AI-FinTech entrepreneurial ecosystem by examining how intelligent financial technologies and algorithmic digital visibility shape opportunity recognition and venture growth in Pakistan and China. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 20 entrepreneurs, equally divided between the two countries, and analyzed through reflexive thematic analysis, supported by exploratory quantitative comparisons of theme intensity, technology adoption, and perceived growth. Six interrelated themes emerged: AI-FinTech as opportunity-sensing infrastructure; algorithmic visibility as a market-access and legitimacy mechanism; intelligent finance as a resource-orchestration capability; platform opacity and dependency; ecosystem asymmetry between Pakistan and China; and human judgment, trust, and governance as boundary conditions. Findings indicate that AI-enabled financial intelligence creates the greatest value when entrepreneurs can translate data into timely action and when digital platforms provide stable pathways to visibility, customers, legitimacy, and finance. Chinese participants reported deeper platform integration, digital-credit access, and AI use, alongside greater exposure to platform opacity and dependency. Pakistani participants emphasized fragmented infrastructure, financing constraints, trust, and the compensatory value of digital tools. Across both settings, AI-FinTech capability and algorithmic visibility were positively associated with perceived venture growth, while visibility partially mediated the capability-growth relationship. The study contributes an ecosystem-level explanation linking entrepreneurial alertness, dynamic capabilities, digital finance, and algorithmic visibility, and highlights the need for platform diversification, explainable systems, interoperable infrastructure, and human-centered governance.
